Santa Rosa area, Gulf Islands National Seashore

An 8-mile stretch of federally protected beach on Santa Rosa Island between Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach, managed by the National Park Service. Day-use only with no camping. Includes Opal Beach (the designated swimming beach with lifeguards and facilities) and three additional free parking areas with primitive beach access (no restrooms). A 16-mile bike lane connects Navarre Beach to Pensacola Beach through this area. One of ten National Seashores in the United States.
