Sanibel Island

Known as the shelling capital of the world, tourists here can be seen doing the "Sanibel Stoop"—bending over to pick up the thousands of exotic shells that wash ashore daily. With no traffic lights and more than half the island dedicated to a wildlife refuge, it is a serene haven for bikers and nature lovers.
